Compliance to regulatory AND reimbursement requirements is of the utmost importance to the health care community – especially as changes in the industry occur by regulatory authorities and surveyors, contractors, and payers.
MJS has historically been a leader in both regulatory and reimbursement compliance for home health and hospice providers over the past 20 years. We continue to upgrade our compliance initiatives as changes occur in legislation or coverage. We monitor trends in the industry from a variety of sources including deficiencies issued by state and accrediting surveyors, denials issued by TPE and contractor audits, and OIG workplans that outline areas of risk for the health care provider community.
The most important service that the MJS compliance team provides is based upon our active involvement in all areas of health care practice – from record production to coding to pre-submission record reviews; from claim development to appeals at the highest level of appeal; from plans of correction to onsite consulting on best practices.
Headed by our CEO who maintains a Certified Professional Compliance Officer certification through AAPC, our approach to compliance is to offer both on-site and off-site evaluation of the provider’s total program, custom-design training based upon request from the agency identified risks, and promote evidence-based results for satisfaction to executive management of the organizations.
